The business owner who kick-started the idea of having an outdoor eating area was excited to hear that council gave second and third readings to the Sidewalk Café and Sales bylaw on May 9. Garnet Greipl owns Tasty Thai restaurant in Uptowne Olds.

The Royal Canadian Circus announced it had raised more than $15,000 for the Canadian Red Cross during its benefit show on May 13. That Friday night, admission to the show was a donation toward Fort McMurray relief efforts.
