The 1994 Olds Grizzlys have been named as 2014 inductees for the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame.Hockey Alberta and the Hockey Alberta Foundation announced the winners on Feb. 20.

In legend, the griffin was thought of as the king of all creatures. At the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) women’s basketball championships held at Olds College from Feb. 28 to March 2, Griffins were the queens of the court.

It wasn't pretty but the Innisfail Eagles defeated the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs 5-4 Friday night (Feb. 28) to win the best of seven Chinook Hockey League semi-final series four games to one.

The Olds Grizzlys are currently suffering through a seven-game losing streak heading into their last pair of regular season games on Feb. 28 and March 1.

Dakota Wilson can't explain why she chose Olds College, but she's glad to be here. The third-year middle on the women's volleyball team initially came for the fashion program after taking a year off from high school.

The Innisfail Eagles are one win away from moving on to the Chinook Hockey League finals.

For the first two periods at the Innisfail Arena it looked like the Eagles had watched the Canada ñ United States Olympic hockey semi-final game and took a decidedly defensive cue from the winning Canucks.
