École Deer Meadow School students planning to be locked in the school all night have now set a date for the event.
It will occur from 9 p.m. Dec. 8 to 9 a.m. Dec. 9.
Money raised from the event will go to Wounded Warriors Canada, which supports military veterans, first responders and their families with everything from health services to assistance in transitioning to civilian life.
Earlier this month, about 80 students had taken pledges, raising hundreds of dollars for the cause.
Grade 8 students Riley Chopko and Noah Korver have been planning the project since October, with assistance from teacher Sandi Hoppins, who conducts leadership and interact classes.
