Olds RCMP are investigating several instances of suspects attempting to pass counterfeit American currency ($20 and $10 notes).
Four separate transactions in Olds and Torrington have been reported to the Olds detachment and attempts have been made in other surrounding jurisdictions.
The following serial numbers have been reported EL58734264F (American $20), IG60558188D (American $20).
“Suspects have been identified and police are continuing their investigation,” RCMP say. “The notes are poor quality and should be easily identifiable as counterfeit. Suspects have been identified and charges (are) pending.”
