18 students qualify for Central Alberta Science Fair

OLDS — Eighteen students in grades 5 to 12 are eligible to compete in the Central Alberta Regional Science Fair April 5-6 after winning medals at the Mountainview Science and Technology Science Fair (MSTSF) held at École Olds High School on March 2.

Following are results from the MSTSF, submitted by Ruth Roedler.

GRADES 10 TO 12

Best of Fair and gold medal – Jules Owen-Pole, Grade 12, Hugh Sutherland School, “Whiskers to Wisdom.”

First runner-up and silver medal – Tess Parker and Keiara Lewis, Grade 11, École Olds High School, “My doctor tried to kill me.”

Second runner-up and bronze medal – Aida Hingst, Grade 11, École Olds High School, “Nice Rack: Antler Growth.
