Olds U-12 girls softball team wins bronze at provincials

A walk-off triple in the bottom of the sixth inning in a game against Lacombe allowed the Olds Minor Softball Association's U-12 girl's team to capture a bronze medal at a provincial tournament in Calgary on July 6.

A walk-off triple in the bottom of the sixth inning in a game against Lacombe allowed the Olds Minor Softball Association's U-12 girl's team to capture a bronze medal at a provincial tournament in Calgary on July 6.The Olds Stealers went 3-1 in the tournament's round robin and beat Okotoks in a tiebreaker game to make the playoffs.Against Castor, the team had a chance to advance to the gold medal game but lost.Provincials were held in Calgary from July 4 to 6.The Olds Minor Softball Association includes eight teams in four age [email protected]
