Dolphins win home meet

The Innisfail Dolphins swim club hosted its annual swim meet June 29 to 30, and was victorious. Eleven teams, consisting of 237 swimmers, attended the Innisfail Meet. A whopping 1,297 individual swims were completed that weekend.

The Innisfail Dolphins swim club hosted its annual swim meet June 29 to 30, and was victorious. Eleven teams, consisting of 237 swimmers, attended the Innisfail Meet. A whopping 1,297 individual swims were completed that weekend. The team is showing so much growth and improvement this season and their hard work is paying off. Not every club is able to say that they have won their own swim meet, but the Dolphins have been able to several times over.

The team is about halfway through the season and is really training hard for the regional and provincial swim meets in August. The swimmers continue to improve personal times as well as break club records.

Once again, we have several swimmers that achieved “best times” at the Innisfail Meet including Taylen Auld, Katy Balog, Kaitlyn Bowe, Kayla Bown, Brittany Byneshewski, Devin Chambers, Anthony Chatwood, Elizabeth Chatwood, Rayne Dallas, Reilly Dixon, Makenna Doel, Kirklen Donahue, Kelly Eggink, Mika Eggink, Julie Fehr, Natasha Fehr, Faith Gette, Josh Gette, Sarah Gette, Allison Jensen, Nicole Johnston, Chandler Kaluzniak, Elliot Layden, Quinn Layden, Wikie Maree, Zike Maree, Donovan Pineau, Mackenzie Reeves, Alli Russell, Anna Russell, Emma Shokier, John Shokier, Julia Shokier, Philip Shokier, Justin Valentine, Sara Valentine and Karen Watt.
