The Olds Bulldogs defeated the Rocky Junior Rebels 39-28 on Saturday in Central Alberta Football League action. The win leaves the Bulldogs in sixth position in the league with a 2-1 record. A logjam of five teams are tied for the lead, all with three victories.
The game was close until D.J. Neustaeter ran back a Rebels' kickoff 114 yards all the way to the end zone. The major turned out to be the game-winner, as it came late in the fourth quarter. Ryland Couture and Ty Smith also scored touchdowns for the Bulldogs.
The next action for the Bulldogs is Saturday when they take on the Strathmore Spartans in Olds at noon.
