The Chevelles return to rock out at the rink in Sundre

Attendance for Sundre Curling Club fundraiser dinner and dance up over the last few years, says organizer

SUNDRE – Attendance was up over the past number of years for the Sundre Curling Club's annual Rockin' the Rink dinner and dance.

The event's mainstay performers The Chevelles, a Lethbridge-based band, returned with their repertoire of classic rock covers that offer a variety of rhythms for people to dance to.

There were about 240 people attending this year's fundraiser, said organizer Kevin Humphrey, adding that about $7,500 was raised once expenses were settled.

“That’s better than the last few years,” said Humphrey.
