Fishing gear was stolen from a storage shed, after a thief broke into the shed in February.

The stolen property included both gas and electric boat trolling motors, said Sundre RCMP Constable Val Dennis.

The estimated value of the stolen property is $1,000 to $2,000.

The owner of the shed noticed on Feb. 23 and isn't sure when the break and enter took place.

The shed is located in the alley between 3rd Street and 4th Street, near 2nd Avenue.

Ongoing mischief to mailboxes

RCMP officers have been responding to ongoing mischief to mailboxes, said Constable Mike Martin in a press release.

During the early hours of March 28, mischief occurred to the Canada Post mailboxes on Rge. Rd. 63 at Twp. Rd. 332.

This has been happening to the same mailboxes over the period of the last few months.

The mailboxes have been damaged and mail was scattered across the roadway.

Sundre RCMP officers are asking for anyone with any information regarding these incidents to contact the detachment at 403-638-3675 or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
