Dean Pickering has resigned from his position as the Town of Sundre's chief administrative officer.

He resigned Aug. 16 due to medical reasons. He held the position for 10 months.

Interim chief administrative officer Doug Wright has been hired until a permanent CAO is found.

“Council will decide the process and timeline for hiring a permanent CAO in the near future,” reads a press release from the town. “The position requirements and dates of application submission will be posted to the town website.”

Pickering left on medical leave indefinitely in mid-July and Wright took over the position on July 23, after council appointed him to the position.

Wright is from Leduc and works for Transitional Solutions Inc., a company that provides municipal services.
