The town received a reply from the Mountain View Regional Waste Commission in regards to the complaint about the overload of materials at the recycling depot last month.

ìWe do acknowledge that we should have had the bins emptied in a more expedient manner,î said Terry Hurlbut, interim chief administrative officer of the commission, in the letter.

Commission officials planned to place another bin at the location but were unable to due to a changeover in staff, he said.

Because of this, the recycling site in Sundre was not the only one left unsightly, he said.

ìWe are working on plans of action to address this type of situation and try to ensure it does not reoccur at any member site,î he said.

He apologized for the inconvenience.

The letter was brought to council's attention at the Feb. 4 meeting.
