JAIL AND BAIL — The Sundre RCMP detachment’s Sgt. Jim Lank hauls in Connie Anderson last Thursday after “arrresting” him for cheering too loud at a Roughnecks’ game. Anderson was among five members of the community to volunteer time for the local ATB branch’s Jail and Bail fundraiser. Also thrown in the “slammer” were Mayor Terry Leslie, Coun. Chris Vardas, Dr. Rob Warren and Steve Brigden of the Mountain View Credit Union. Each “convict” had to make some calls to raise bail money — posted at a minimum of $300 — before being released. Proceeds went to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. A little more than $8,000 was pledged to bail out the five volunteers who were “incarcerated.”,
