EYES ON THE PRIZE ó Skip Rick Smee, from Sundre, releases a rock on Friday, Dec. 11 during the C event final of the annual 50-plus bonspiel. He played with Lila Weiss, second, Peggy Kadey, third, and Darlene Murphy, lead. There were 14 teams competing from across central Alberta. The A event winners were Sundre’s Dale Phillips, Kevin Humphrey, Wade Konschuh and Chris Aldrich. They defeated Deanna Jensen’s rink from Cremona in the final game. The B event winners were Ian Cook’s rink from Innisfail. They defeated Marlene Cardon’s rink, from Sundre, in the final game. The C event winners were Smee’s rink, who defeated Jim Thompson’s rink from Olds in the final game. The junior bonspiel takes place this coming weekend, Jan. 15-17.,
