Since 1983, Sundre’s annual community Terry Fox Run has brought out residents in support of the cancer research fundraiser. A few dozen people attended this year’s event, which was held Sunday, Sept. 17, and they all selected their own route, with many of them walking Snake Hill. “It was a beautiful day,” said organizer Annalise Fricker, who this year took the reins from her father Terry Leslie, pictured here taking part with granddaughters Emme, left, and Sadie Fricker. “We had a great turnout of 41 people and we raised $2,190.” Since the first run was held decades ago, she said the Sundre Terry Fox Run has raised more than $56,400.
