Classic Country Comedy Show for seniors draws hearty laughter in Sundre

Greenwood Neighbourhood Place Society celebrated seniors in collaboration with the Sundre Elks Lodge No. 338

SUNDRE – An entertaining performance hosted at the local Elks hall in celebration of Seniors' Week drew out lots of hearty laughs.

Sundre’s Greenwood Neighbourhood Place Society helped recognize and celebrate Seniors’ Week by collaborating with the Sundre Elks Lodge No. 338 on hosting some live entertainment that mixed together classic melodies and good natured humour at the latter’s hall on Wednesday, June 7.

Richard and Deborah Popovich performed their Classic Country Comedy Show – which featured famous songs like Stan Jones’ Ghost Riders in the Sky that became a classic covered by performers including Johnny Cash – before a full house of more than 100 seniors who attended at no cost and were invited to engage throughout the act.
