Alberta Occupational Health and Safety officials are investigating a worksite incident in Sundre.

On Friday, Oct. 13 at about 5 p.m., a Kubota skid steer struck a construction worker involved with the Centre Street North project.

The worker, an employee of contractor Olds Concrete, was taken to the Sundre Hospital and Care Centre, located near the worksite, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released, Sundre RCMP reported.

"It was an industrial workplace accident," said Sgt. Jim Lank on Monday morning.

No criminal charges are being pursued by the RCMP, he said.

However, "the matter is now under investigation by Occupational Health and Safety members."
