Charges were recently withdrawn against one of two Sundre residents police had arrested in connection with a prowling of outbuildings on a rural property.
Amy Adams, 33, had faced several charges stemming from a Dec. 24, 2016 incident, but those were all withdrawn on April 3. However, the second suspect, Tyler Campkin, also 33, is scheduled to be back in court early next month.
During the early morning of Dec. 24, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a rural residence along Rge. Rd. 44 and Twp. Rd. 340. The homeowner was away but had a friend tending to the property, police previously reported.
The friend observed the car parked on the road, with footprints leading onto the property. Two persons were later seen leaving the property before entering the vehicle and driving away. Police were able to intercept the vehicle, which was occupied by a male and a female. The investigation revealed that the two persons were searching through outbuildings on the property, the RCMP said.
Campkin was subsequently criminally charged for break and enter, possessing break and enter instruments, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose as well as possession of methamphetamines. Campkin is scheduled to be back in Didsbury provincial court on May 8.
