Award of distinction

Sundre's own Dr. Michelle Warren was recently named the 2016 recipient of the Alberta Rural Physician Award of Distinction. To document and promote her success, the Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan sent a two-person crew to shoot a video in the community, including at the Moose and Squirrel Medical Clinic, which she runs with husband Dr. Rob Warren. She's pictured here on Friday, Aug. 26 chatting at the clinic with Lewis and Brenda Hand while being recorded by videographer Simon Morgan. A community event will be planned in the fall to celebrate Warren's achievements as well as other local health professionals. The video, which will also showcase health-care activities in the community, will be presented at that function. Warren was also recently named the 2015 recipient of the Dr. Hal Irvine Community Focus Award.
