A few words from the fire chief

As we watch the devastation down south of us that the hurricanes have caused, something so simple as a bottle of water is hard to come by when everything we take for granted shuts down.

Whether it be fire, flooding, tornadoes or whatever disaster that might come along, be somewhat prepared for it. Have your 72-hour emergency kit put together. Make sure that old generator you have still starts and you have fuel for it if the power goes out. Keep a good assortment of camping gear around because when a disaster strikes, that's the kind of stuff you're going to need.

So be proactive and prepare your family for the worst.
