Entrepreneur and well-known CBC Dragons' Den member Arlene Dickinson will headline the 14th Annual Olds College 'Growing the Legacy' Gala, which takes place April 7 at the Ralph Klein Centre.

The gala is a major fundraiser and showcase for Olds College, its programs and its students. Funds raised via the gala go towards supporting programming and student learning.

The college is the title sponsor of Dickinson's District Ventures accelerator. The accelerator, located in downtown Calgary, focuses on helping entrepreneurs in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Olds College president Tom Thompson says Dickinson is a perfect choice as a special guest for the college's gala.

“For over a century, Olds College has produced graduates that are industry leaders, innovators and people who get things done. There is no better example of that philosophy in action than Arlene Dickinson,” he says.

“Working with tenacious individuals like Arlene has helped us get to where we are today, and will help us meet our goals as we move beyond the present, and into the future,” Thompson adds.
