Special weather statement lifted for Olds, Carstairs, Sundre area

Snowfall warning is now in effect for some areas of Southern Alberta

OLDS - A special weather statement issued Monday by Environment Canada for the Airdrie - Cochrane - Olds - Sundre area has been lifted.

The special weather statement advised of a multi-day snowfall event starting Tuesday with 10 to 30 centimetres (cm) of snow forecast for areas along the foothills and in the mountain parks and five to 10 cm for areas east of Highway 2.

The special weather statement issued for the Airdrie - Cochrane - Olds - Sundre area was lifted as of Wednesday morning, along with all the other special weather statements Environment Canada had in effect for the province.

A snowfall warning is now in effect for some areas of Southern Alberta.
