Six stolen vehicles in Olds/Bowden area

On Nov. 28, a 2004 Ford F 350 was stolen from an Olds College parking lot.

“This vehicle was located burning in the Didsbury area,” police say.

On Nov. 30, a 1996 GMC Sierra was stolen in Bowden and found abandoned in the Innisfail RCMP detachment area.

On Dec. 1, Olds RCMP recovered a 2009 silver Lexus RX350 and suspects in that theft were arrested, thanks to a quick-thinking resident.

Police say the car was stolen out of Red Deer on Nov. 28.

“On this date, the occupants of the vehicle claimed they had run out of gas on Range Road 15,” an Olds RCMP news release says.

“The complainant had stopped to assist the occupants and provided the occupants a drive into town, dropping them off at the Tim Horton's/Wendy's location in town.

“Prior to leaving the area, the complainant took a photo of the plate on the Lexus and reported to the Olds Detachment after dropping the subjects off.

“(RCMP) Members attended and located an adult male and two female youths. All parties were arrested and charged.

“The male was remanded into custody on six charges including Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property under $5,000 and four charges related to breaching conditions of release documents.”

Lynx Tevin Marcella-Michel of Red Deer will appear in Didsbury provincial court on Dec. 14. By law, the identities of the young offenders cannot be released.

On Dec. 4, Olds RCMP recovered a burnt-out Dodge Ram regular cab on a lease road near Rge. Rd. 24 and Twp. Rd. 324.

Police believe it was involved in a theft at the Tire Shop on Nov. 30.
