Another group is donating to the Christmas Angels.
Members of the Mocana Club-Olds -- a social organization for retirees of Mobil Oil Corp., Canadian Superior and Esso/Exxon – are bringing toys for the Christmas Angels to an event they're having Dec. 1 at the Olds Legion Hall.
The Olds and District Christmas Angels Society provides toys for children of needy families in the community. It has also provided needy families with grocery gift cards for local grocery stores.
Mary Jane Harper, a founding member of the Christmas Angels Society, is pleased with the group's decision.
“We're pretty happy that another group has stepped forward and will be providing us with this wonderful donation of toys for the kids for Christmas hampers,” she says.
