Olds RCMP are still hoping somebody will come forward with information that will help them identify and find the suspects who broke into the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) in Olds on July 3.

Police responded to an alarm at the bank at about 4 a.m. that day.

Reports indicate the suspects got into the bank by first breaking into the Muzychka & Co. accounting firm next door in the Mountain View Plaza.

"Once inside, the bank ATM was targeted and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen," an RCMP news release says.

Olds RCMP Cpl. Michael Black says police are looking for surveillance footage of the bank and surrounding area.

"Anybody who's got surveillance in the area, whether it's residential or anything ñ that points outside, and anybody who's got any type of description of anybody acting suspicious 'round the morning ñ even up until even 8:30/9 o'clock that following morning," Black says.

"We're looking for anybody to come forward with descriptions of vehicles, people, anything of that nature."

According to Black, it's believed the suspects would have been working at the scene for a long time.

As of late last week, RCMP had not been informed that any money or anything else had been stolen at Muzychka & Co. Chartered Accountants.

Brett Muzychka of Muzychka & Co. could not be reached for comment at the time this story was prepared.

Black has sympathy for staff who may be rattled as a result of the break-in and theft.

If you have any information about this break-in and theft, contact the Olds RCMP detachment at 403-556-3323. If you want to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS), or by Internet at www.tipsubmit.com.
