The Ramada Inn in Olds has received a Best of the Best award, says Erin Wallace, the hotel's general manager.
Wallace made that announcement last week, saying she learned the news during a Canalta Hotels conference. (The Ramada Inn is owned by Canalta Hotels).
“We received the 2016 Best of the Best award for Ramada (hotels) in Canada,” Wallace said. “It's a pretty big award. It's a real accomplishment.”
“The criteria they go by is our excellence in housekeeping, our excellence at the front desk, the exterior of the property, interior of the property, all the public areas, how clean we are, the rates we offer, the guests,” she said.
Wallace said another consideration is the fact that the hotel works with groups like the Olds Grizzlys junior hockey team to bring more people into the community to stay at the hotel.
Wallace said the hotel also received the award back in 2013.
