Paving begins on 50th Avenue

Paving began on 50th Avenue in Uptowne Olds today (Thursday, Oct. 2). The avenue was dug up in July between 50th and 52nd Avenues so that sewer and water facilities could be replaced. Also as part of the $1.5 million project, sidewalks were replaced.

Paving began on 50th Avenue in Uptowne Olds today (Thursday, Oct. 2).

The avenue was dug up in July between 50th and 52nd Avenues so that sewer and water facilities could be replaced.

Also as part of the $1.5 million project, sidewalks were replaced.

Plans call for old-fashioned style lights to go in next; hopefully this month.

Likely in the new year, other amenities will be added, like trees, benches, bike racks and garbage receptacles.
