"ORE is grateful to the volunteers that establish the vision and strategic direction of the 118-year-old organization," a news release from ORE says.

"Members of the board represent tremendous diversity with recognized leadership in the agriculture sector, community service, business development and event production.

"ORE serves the community and region with a steadfast commitment to agriculture, youth and community ñ the annually renewed core values.

"Stewardship of this CRA-registered charity, combined with the rigours of being an Alberta Agriculture and Forestry classified regional exhibition, governed by the provincial Agricultural Societies Act, is a volunteer task the board is proud to uphold with accountability and transparency."

The news release also notes the ORE has struck a partnership with Alex Galanis of Grouchy Daddy's for the new food and beverage "business pillar" of the organization.

The news release says the ORE "will have a continued focus on economic diversity and community partnerships to ensure our region is the destination of choice for major event production."
