Olds RCMP asking for public help to identify fuel theft suspects

Olds RCMP say video surveillance of Kneehill County theft indicates two suspect vehicles may be involved

OLDS – Olds RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying a female suspect responsible for the theft of 300 litres of diesel fuel.

RCMP Cpl. Gina Slaney said in a news release issued earlier today, Aug. 9, that the theft occurred during the early morning hours of Aug. 5 in Kneehill County.

Slaney said video surveillance reveals there were two suspect vehicles involved.

She said one vehicle was a white Chevrolet Silverado 1500, bearing the licence plate CLF 4558, which had been reported stolen on Aug. 3.

The second is a four-door pick-up that is dark in colour, said Slaney.

She said the face of the female is visible in one picture.

Slaney said Olds RCMP are asking for the public's assistance for any information relating to this incident.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Olds RCMP at 403-556-3324 or their local police.

Citizens who wish to remain anonymous may alternatively contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), as well as submit information online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
