OICRD hires new executive director

The Olds Institute For Community and Regional Development has hired Mitch Thompson to act as its interim executive director. Thompson will begin a six-month term on Sept. 16.

The Olds Institute For Community and Regional Development has hired Mitch Thompson to act as its interim executive director. Thompson will begin a six-month term on Sept. 16.

In addition to working with the Red Deer and Innisfail chambers of commerce, Thompson has also been involved with the Central Alberta Economic Partnership, the Olds Rotary Club and is a member of the institute's business attraction, retention and expansion committee.

Thompson is replacing Curtis Cook and the OICRD board will determine after six months whether to extend Thompson's contract.
