Local bistro Granny Jacks announced Tuesday morning that they'd be shuttering up their shop in Uptowne Olds.
Local bistro Granny Jacks announced Tuesday morning that they'd be shuttering up their shop in Uptowne Olds.
"This hasn't been an easy decision," read a note on the door, "but due to slow economic times we are going to close Granny Jacks store front immediately."
According to the note, which was also posted on the cafÈ's Facebook page, Granny Jacks will remain in business, still offering catering services and attending the Farmer's Market and other local events.
The owner of the Granny Jacks couldn't be reached, but on Facebook, several reactions to the news expressed dismay.
"What a loss for Olds!" wrote the local Uptowne Eyecare. "We will miss the cozy atmosphere!"
