A man arrested in connection with an incident in which a bullet was fired through a house and into an apartment building in Bowden is due in court again Jan. 16.

James Colwell, 26, of Bowden was arrested last month in connection with the incident, which occurred in late November. No injuries were reported.

He's charged with careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and mischief under $5,000.

The mischief under $5,000 charge is in regard to damage inflicted on the apartment building by the bullet.

A warrant has been issued for a co-accused in the case, Katelynn Clark, 23, also of Bowden, after she failed to appear in court on Dec. 19.

She faces charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and failing to comply with an undertaking. Failing to comply with an undertaking is basically not following the rules of a release from custody.
