Bowden town councillors are hopeful that owners of a new inland grain terminal proposed for the area will help fund a few projects in the town.
One major one that comes to councillors' minds is a new community hall, promoted by the Bowden Enhancement Society.
Paterson Grain announced earlier this month it plans to build an inland grain terminal at the intersection of highways 2A and 587.
“I actually Googled it out of curiosity; they are big, big community sponsors. So the Enhancement Society might get a new (community hall),” Mayor Robb Stuart said during council's March 14 meeting.
“Oh, I think they'll be asking them,” Coun. Sheila Church said.
“What's their phone number,” Coun. Wayne Milaney asked jokingly.
