CREMONA - The Cremona Cougars senior boys' varsity basketball team have begun practice and are eager to hit the court.

The team is coached by Suzanne Kempster assisted by Bruce Bird. Kempster said the Cougars are pretty young this year but do have some experience.

"Our team this year is very small and is made up of young, experienced players, with a few older but newer players," said Kempster. "Our focus this year is on development with good team play. Most of our players are well-rounded in their skills but senior ball will be a challenge for us."

The Cougar boys are currently practising twice a week. The team has two home games this month and will be playing in a couple of tournaments in the new year.

"The boys are very excited to play, are committed to learning and are eager to see what the senior division has to offer in the progression of their skills and knowledge of the game," she said.
