Students from Olds, Didsbury, Carstairs, and Bowden performed a variety of piano, vocal and instrumental selections when the Olds and District Music Teacher's Association held its annual scholarship recital on Friday, Nov. 18 at the First Baptist Church in Olds.At the conclusion of the recital, scholarships were presented to those students who received the highest examination marks for the 2010-11 teaching year. In addition, thanks to the generosity of our many local and area businesses and organizations, we were also able to award a scholarship to each student who had received a minimum mark of 80 per cent.This year, more than $2,000 was awarded to students thanks to the generosity of our donors. We are pleased to be able to give recognition and encouragement to these students and wish them much success in their continued music studies.
