DIDSBURY - The Didsbury Aquajets summer swim team recently wrapped up another successful season under the tutelage of head coach Cecilia Wessels along with assistants Yvonne Lundeen and Jen Jardine.

The Aquajets finished 16th overall in the province out of 18 small teams, beating out clubs like the Cascade summer club and the Slave Lake Sharks.

The club had 38 registered swimmers ranging from six years old to masters.

The swimmers competed in a number of meets throughout the summer with several qualifying for provincials.

Competing at provincials were the girls' 9- and 10- year-old relay team with Piper Lundeen, Maiya Rosenke, Tessa Snyder and Cheye-Anne Wessels. Also competing in singles were Jamie Harris and Cheye-Anne Wessels.

"The relay team came into provincials ranked 14th and finished 13th with a personal best time for the 25-metre freestyle distance for each team member," said Cecilia Wessels.
