A new brand of fitness club will be opening up in Innisfail in early March. Snap Fitness is one of the fastest growing franchisors of compact 24-hour fitness centres. Centres focus on combining up to date workout equipment with the science of computer technology into a fast, convenient and affordable workout.

Owners Norm and Gail Tainsh are excited about their new family run business venture. “Owning a business is something we’d looked at for our retirement years. This franchise didn’t need hands-on day-to-day attention, allowing us to hire locally. Kalie Jacobsen and Phyllis Kjearsgaard both live in Innisfail, and Sean Neumeier from Red Deer are all experienced in sport, health and fitness,” said Norm.

When asked why they chose Innisfail, Norm replied, “My grandparents and my mother were raised in Innisfail. Grandpa Simons was the United Church minister here for many years. I feel like I am coming back to my family roots.”

The Innisfail Snap Fitness Club offers members a fully equipped gym.

“Our members will train on state-of-the-art equipment. They will have access to personal training plus a suite of online services, such as nutrition and meal planning through Personal Web Pages,” said Norm.

He added that Snap Fitness’s exclusive Fast Start program and the new technology of Easy Fit are what enables patrons to reach their fitness goals faster.

Located in the Henday Mall, Snap Fitness will operate 24/7 and be staffed during peak hours and accessible by a secure key card during non-peak hours.

“We are excited about joining the Innisfail business community and doing our part to contribute to our health and quality of life,” the pair said.
