A man was arrested for impaired care and control of a vehicle after he was found by an RCMP officer passed out behind the wheel with half a bottle of vodka in the vehicle.

On March 2 an Innisfail officer responded to a complaint of a male driving drunk from Red Deer. He found the vehicle pulled half off the road in the Gasoline Alley area.

The man failed a breathalyzer test. He has not been formally charged yet so his name cannot be released.

Eau de theft

Police are looking for information about a suspect who allegedly took about $16 of fragrance products from the Shoppers Drug Mart.

The incident occurred on March 4 at about 11:20 a.m.

Pot problems

Marijuana was discovered on an Innisfail youth when he was being arrested on other warrants by the RCMP on March 5.

Cpl. A.J. Mand said "a good chunk" of marijuana, about 50 grams, was found on the youth. The youth was charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and with escaping lawful custody in addition to the charges the police were already arresting him on.

An adult female who was with the youth is also facing charges of drug possession.

Running on empty

Diesel was siphoned from three semi-trucks parked off of Highway 2A in the Innisfail Auction Mart parking lot on March 2.

Police said the siphoning probably happened overnight. The police have no suspects and ask anyone with information to call the Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Hit and gone

A headlight and hood of a Pontiac Grand Am were damaged after a hit and run on 45 Street.

The hit and run was reported on March 7. There was no evidence as to who or what might have hit the vehicle.

Taking down fences

Damage was done to a few fence boards on March 7.

The damage was reported from a residence on 41 Street. There is no information on who damaged the fence boards, though it's possible they were knocked out by a vehicle.

The incident occurred between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Minor assault

An assault was reported in the early morning hours of March 8.

A man was charged after a domestic violence incident that occurred in Penhold. Police said the assault was minor in nature.
