An Innisfail resident of 47 Street reported the brown 1992 Jeep with six spotlights on the roof missing that evening when they found their home had been broken into via south side windows. Rolls of coins were also taken.

A 22-year-old Calgary male was charged with several offences including possession of a weapon obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and resisting an officer.

Liquor store mischief in Penhold

Three back-to-back incidents at the Penhold Liquor Store have police on the hunt for a vandal and a liquor thief. Just after 9 p.m. on Feb. 1, a 15- to 25-year-old male suspect ran off with two 40-ounce bottles of liquor. On Feb. 2 at 2:24 a.m. someone smashed the glass at the liquor store. The alarm went off and no one entered the premises. On Feb. 4 at 8:50 a.m. police were alerted to graffiti on the patio deck, fence and south wall of the bar. Police are investigating and say the incidents may be related.

Battery site broken into

Jan. 31 at 11:07 a.m. Innisfail RCMP received a report of a break-in at an oilfield battery site. Locks were cut on the gate and one storage space was damaged. Would-be thieves attempted to take a methanol skid but nothing appeared to be missing, said Staff Sgt. Chris Matechuk.

Property stolen in Bowden

A spare tire and a hose were reported stolen from a semi truck parked near the Bowden FasGas Feb. 1 at 9:33 a.m.

Truck stolen

On Feb. 1 a man was observed driving around the Penhold Estates trailer park around 9 p.m. RCMP found the suspect sitting in the driver seat of a 1989 GMC truck at the Penhold Family Restaurant with a black screwdriver in his hand.

A 33-year-old male from Penhold with outstanding warrants was charged with possession of stolen property and operating a stolen vehicle.

Moose struck

A vehicle collided with a moose near Markerville at Rge. Rd. 30 and Twp. Rd. 370. No one was injured in the incident.

ìOut here it's a common thing,î Matechuk said. ìUsually it's seasonal and happens in the fall.î

Flying Coke

On Jan. 31 a Coca-Cola transport truck veered off Highway 766 north of Highway 54 and caught air before landing in a ditch and shooting across another road just before 11 a.m.

The driver sustained minor injuries.
