INNISFAIL - A missing nine year-old Innisfail girl has been located safely Sunday after RCMP issued a plea to the public less than an hour earlier for help in finding her.
The girl was last seen at approximately 10 a.m. on Jan. 28 at her residence in Westwood Court in Innisfail, police reported in a release issued shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday.
She “was believed to be going to play at a local park when she left her residence,” police said.
Anyone who had seen her was asked to contact the Innisfail RCMP detachment, Crime Stoppers or use the P3 Tips or Alberta RCMP online apps.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. RCMP advised in a news release that she had been located safe and sound.
