Man gets 60 days for sexual interference

A man charged with sexual interference pleaded guilty on Sept. 25 when he appeared in the Court of Queen's Bench in Red Deer. Brandon Curtis Bill, an Innisfail area man, was sentenced to 60 days jail. That time is to be served intermittently.

Sexual interference is the charge of touching, directly or indirectly, with a part of the body or an object any part of the body of a person under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose.

As part of his sentence, Bill is to provide a sample of his DNA and register with Canada's sex offender registry.

He was scheduled to stand trial for three days, starting Sept. 25, when the guilty plea was entered.
