Old-time music fans will be tapping their toes Dec. 7 to the fiddle and piano music of Blaine Lutwick and Laurie Maetche at the Century Theatre.

Old-time music fans will be tapping their toes Dec. 7 to the fiddle and piano music of Blaine Lutwick and Laurie Maetche at the Century Theatre.

Central Alberta Presenters Society president Jim Swinston is pleased to be able to bring this talented duo to Innisfail.

Fiddlingly Yours presents a mix of both old-time and modern fiddle music. Blaine's musical experience ranges from playing in an old-time dance band around the province, to being house accompanist for many competitions and jamborees. Laurie has competed and judged competitions and both have taught at camps geared toward their style of playing.

“We look forward to an enthusiastic crowd coming out to enjoy the concert,” Swinston added. “Capacity of the Century Theatre is around 120, and we hope to sell out. Proceeds from the show will be used to promote future shows.”

“We bring four concerts a year to Innisfail and this unique event will be very entertaining,” Swinston said. “Our first concert of the year was Jack Jackson, and this will be our second. Our next presentation will be for Valentine's Day when we bring in All You Need is Love, a dinner and musical show presentation paying tribute to the Beatles.”

Presented by the Central Alberta Presenters Society, Fiddlingly Yours begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Century. Rush seating tickets are $20 and available from Jim at 403-877-1783 or Larry at 403-227-6660 or drop by the Century Theatre when it is open.
