The Innisfail Public Library is planning for a busy holiday season for patrons of all ages.

“We have activities for age levels, from preschoolers to young adults,” said Laurie Hodges Humble, Innisfail Public Library manager. “Children aged three to eight can enjoy a morning session, introducing them to a variety of rhythm instruments and songs December 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., while older kids, 10 and over can participate in two movie days on December 27 and 28.”

A Youth Pizza & A Movie Matinee feature, Back to the Future III, will be played at 1 p.m. Dec. 27 and Boston Pizza will be serving pizza to participants. Inkheart will be shown as part of the library's Book-to-Movie Club from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Snacks will be provided but pre-registration is suggested.

“There are a couple of other special nights planned,” said Hodges Humble. “Our beginner robotics club runs December 19, and shortly after that, a Lego event is planned. For kids who love building, either event will be very enjoyable.”

The Innisfail Public Library will be closed December 24 to 26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2014. Board games and lending services will be available as usual, during normal business hours.

AniManga Club will be meeting Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. for those interested in animation and/or manga. Activities will include computer animation.
