Innisfail Family Centre celebrates anniversary

The Innisfail Family Centre is celebrating two years of serving Innisfail and the area on June 7.

The Innisfail Family Centre is celebrating two years of serving Innisfail and the area on June 7.

“We are pleased to celebrate two years and 215 children who have been registered in our programs,” said Tracy Davis-McMillan, coordinator of the Innisfail Family Centre Society. “Right from the beginning when we started as a coalition to now, we have always offered free programs based on needs and will continue to do so.”

The society operates programs for children from birth to six years old and is continuing to add programs.

“Most recently we have added a monthly parenting course,” said Davis-McMillan. “Once we identify needs in our community, we try to meet them.”

The barbecue will be held at the Innisfail Family Centre facility in north Innisfail (Dr. George Kemp house) on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Innisfail residents are welcome to attend.

“We look forward to celebrating our success with the community and look forward to watching our program grow,” added Davis-McMillan.
