The Beatles are coming to Innisfail.

They may not be the original Fab Four but they are the next best thing to the famed pop band from the 1960s. And they come on a day ñ Feb. 14 ñ when hearts are beating the loudest.

Calgary Beatles tribute band, All You Need is Love, will be playing the Super 8 Hotel in the Route 2 room on Feb. 14 for a dinner and dance evening sponsored by the Central Alberta Presenters Society.

ìThe band has headlined the Daines Picnic for two years now,î CAPS president Jim Swinson said. ìAnd we are pleased that they will be coming out to help us celebrate.î

The band, led by Calgarian Nathan Loo, will be playing three one-hour sets, each from a different era of the Fab Four, complete with costume changes.

ìWe start the show as the Ed Sullivan Beatles, then go to Sgt. Pepper's, and end up as the hippie Let it Be Beatles, right up to the hair,î Loo said. ìI impersonate Paul McCartney and actually went to the concert in Edmonton last year. It was an amazing experience.î

Loo said that he has been playing in Beatle tribute bands since 1981 but All You Need is Love has been going for 10 years. They perform 50 shows a year in B.C. and Alberta with great enthusiasm.

ìWe make sure we do the best we can to honour the iconic band,î added Loo. ìEveryone has a favourite song, everyone has a favourite Beatle, and we all enjoy performing.î

ìThis follows the successful Fiddlingly Yours concert we held early in December and our audience this time is not just music lovers, but couples, whether husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend,î Swinson added ìFans of the Beatles will not be disappointed either, and with the new Beatles CD out in stores now, this is a great time to enjoy their classics. If you want to hear the boys play, you can go to http://www.beatlestribute.ca/ for a sample of what you will hear.î

Presented by the Central Alberta Presenters Society, the All You Need is Love dinner begins at 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 7 p.m. at the Route 2. Dinner/dance tickets are $50 each, or $45 in groups of 10 or more and available from Jim at 403-877-1783, Larry at 403-227-6660, or Heather at 403-224-2488. Tickets will be available from the Circle 8 as well.
