Teens are invited to participate in the Olds Municipal Library's Summer Youth Photo Challenge.

The photo challenge is open to teens from grades 7-12. Teens who are leaving Grade 12 are also welcome to participate. Submissions can be made until Aug. 2.

You: The Open Book is the theme of the 2019 competition. Teens are being asked to share an aspect of themselves through the art of photography.

There are three different categories to participate in: self portrait, perspective and reflection.

Judges are looking for good composition, creativity and clear photographs.

Library officials are asking photographers to think about their identity, culture, skills or interests while creating their photos.

Entry forms are available online at oml.prl.ab.ca/events/teens.

All photos will be featured at Olds Municipal Library Aug 6 - 30 and people's choice voting will take place  during that period.

The winning photos will be featured there from Sept. 3 - 30.

Last year’s winners included Kyra Kjargaard, Calla Myram and Jomel Landong.
