Those who didn't get their fill of Elvis impersonator Adam Fitzpatrick will have another chance to see him in Olds Oct. 14.

That night he'll be performing at the TransCanada Theatre. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $39.99. They're available at etixnow.com and Rockin' Retro Antiques & Collectibles, 4710 50th Ave.

Fitzpatrick, 30, from Penticton, B.C., wowed the crowd the last time he was here, Feb. 5, also at the TransCanada theatre. He's proven his ability, promoter Mike Schell of Schell Shock Entertainment says.“In the last 18 months, he came second in the world out of 60,000 competing tribute artists, and just in the last six, seven weeks, he won all of Las Vegas and he won all of Europe,” Schell says.Fitzpatrick was named 2014 European Grand Champion, 2014 Las Vegas Grand Champion and in 2013, the Ultimate Elvis First Runner-Up.

Schell stresses all those competitions were sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

“So it's the real meal deal; it's not the fat, bloated Elvis type of thing,” he adds.

It's a different show this time, Fitzpatrick and Schell note.

The show is called A Trip down The Vegas Strip. There'll be three performers instead of two. Michael Fic will do a Tom Jones/Neil Diamond act and Joe Kelso (a.k.a. Diamond Jones) will be back to perform his Roy Orbison tribute.

Fitzpatrick takes to the stage doing songs from Presley's Vegas years.

Performances will once again feature the Uptown Hornz, which performed back in February.

“We have a nine-piece band with us,” Fitzpatrick says.

The difference will be that this time, they'll have backup female vocalists as well.

“It's a whole new show; it's completely different than what they saw before,” he says.

Fitzpatrick says they had such a great time in Olds that they're looking forward to coming back.

As reported by the Albertan earlier, Fitzpatrick got into the Elvis tribute business after being egged on by a friend. Now he says, he can't imagine stopping. There's just too much to discover.

“You're never going to learn every Elvis song,” he says. “You always have new songs to learn.”

“I just love the music. I can't complain about doing this for a living,” Fitzpatrick says. He gets a charge out of how the audience reacts to his performances.

Fitzpatrick also notes that his shows attract a wide range of ages, and people of every age love to imitate Elvis.

“I've actually seen a six-year-old in a jumpsuit with a full band and just own the stage,” he says. “It's pretty incredible to see.”

Elvis Presley passed away in August 1977.
