Mountain View Colts play two away games, one home game this weekend

DIDSBURY - The Colts play in Okotoks tonight, Friday, Dec. 9 and in Rocky Mountain House on Saturday, before hosting the Airdrie Techmation Thunder at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The game against Airdrie in a makeup game from the Dec. 10 game that was cancelled due to weather.

The Mountain View Colts split two games last weekend, defeating the High River Flyers on Friday, Dec. 2 before falling to the Coaldale Copperheads on Saturday.

The Colts visited the Flyers at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex, coming away with a 4-3 win in an overtime shootout.

The Colts got goals from Hayden Sotheran (assists Steven Bell and Paton Rothenbusch), Rothenbusch (assists Bell and Nate McNeely), Trey Stovin (assists Rothenbusch and Sotheran).

Sotheran and Stovin scored in the shootout, while the Flyers managed only one goal, giving the Colts the win.

Colts goalie Chance Griffith stopped 54 of 57 shots for the win.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Colts hosted the Copperheads at the Didsbury Memorial complex, losing 4-3.

The Colts got goals from Sotheran (assist Bell), Haiden Parks (assist Jordan Saunders) and another from Parks (assists Saunders and Bell).

Griffith stopped 56 of 60 shots.
