DIDSBURY - Modest fee increases have been implemented for Didsbury Out of School Care Association (DOSCA) and the Didsbury Summer Fun programs.

Effective Feb. 1, The DOSCA hourly rate is now $9, up from $8.50, with the full day rate remaining unchanged at $50. The four-day fee is $170 and the five-day fee is $200.

For the 2024 Summer Fun program, the weekly early bird fee before June 15 is $190, up from $180, the weekly early bird fee for additional siblings until June 15 is $180, up from $170. The rates went into effect Jan. 1

The weekly rates after June 14 is $200, up from $190, the additional sibling rate is $190, up from $180. The daily drop-in fee increases to $55, up from $50, and the field trip drop-in fee increases from $65 to $75 per day.

The rate increases were made due to increased program costs overall (staffing, supplies, rentals), and increased Summer Fun field trip costs (bus and entrance fees) and staffing ration requirements, said Ethan Gorner, the Town of Didsbury's chief administrative officer.

Following a fall review by the strategic planning committee, council decided not move to forward with proposed registration fees for DOSCA or the Summer Fun program.
