CARSTAIRS – A Carstairs woman is $100,000 richer after playing Lotto 6/49 and Extra in recent weeks.

Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced Feb. 29 that Susan Grimm matched the last six digits of the Extra number 4 8 2 3 6 6 8 drawn on Feb. 7.

Grimm purchased her Lotto 6/49 and Extra ticket through Subscription Spot so it was initially an email from the lottery corporation that alerted her to the $100,000 win.

“I was in total shock,” she said. “I didn’t want to tell anyone until I got the phone call saying it was real!”

The lottery corporation gave her a confirmation call and said she started dreaming about how she would spend her winnings.

“I’m planning to put the money towards building a new garage and upgrading my kids’ vehicles,” said Grimm.
